Membership Information
Welcome to PDTC. We are so glad that you are enjoying our training program and are interested in becoming a member. To be eligible for membership you must first attend 3 full 8 week class sessions or 5 full 5 week sessions. These must be completed with PDTC and can be a combination of Agility, Obedience, Rally, Nosework, or Pet Dog classes.
Once you have fulfilled the requirement, the appropriate registrar for your classes will notify our membership secretary and they will send you a welcome package including the specifics for PDTC membership.
Some benefits of membership in PDTC include reduced class, seminar, and barn rental rates, subsidized annual award banquet cost for members and guests, and free annual award plaques. We also have a mentor program that pairs new members with more experienced handlers and competitors who can guide you through competition opportunities and offer you support along the way.
Along with membership come some club responsibilities. Members are required to fulfill Volunteer Working Requirements to maintain eligibility for member rates and other discounts. Most of these involve volunteering for the club by helping at our agility and obedience shows, attending general meetings and participating on our service and community outreach efforts. All the specifics about our membership requirements are outlined in our Volunteer Working Requirements Policy and the PDTC By-Laws. Additionally there is an annual membership fee of $30.00 that is due on the 1st of the year.
If you have any questions about membership or believe you may be eligible for membership in PDTC you can contact the membership secretary at PDTCMembership@outlook.com
